St. James is a faith community where all are welcome, ministry is shared, and love is faithfully demonstrated
St. James Catholic Church has been a fixture in Seguin for over 130 years, serving the Catholic population in the Guadalupe County area alongside Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. We have over 900 registered families and are a part of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Our elementary school is the oldest facility still being utilized as a school in the state of Texas and serves 200 students in Prekindergarten – 8th grades.
With a rich and growing population, the community of St. James has over 40 ministries to support the church and the community at large. These ministries include Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Ann’s Circle, Life Teen and Edge youth ministries, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Seguin A.C.T.S., Religious Education, and much more.
All of these ministries and the day to day operations are under the direction of pastor Rev. Canon Stanislaw Fiuk, who is supported by full-time and part-time staff.
We invite all Catholics to celebrate Eucharist with us at any of our weekday and weekend Masses. Please visit our COVID-19 page for the latest updates on requirements for attending Masses in person.
