Fr. Stan Fiuk (pronounced fyook) joined St. James as our pastor in July 2020.
Born in Puszno, Poland to Janina Jurak and Joseph Fiuk in 1962, he later pursued Holy Orders and was ordained on June 2, 1990 in Lublin, Poland by Bishop Boleslaw Pytak.
After his first year as a priest in Poland, he was then transferred to Ukraine, spending seven years at Marian Sanctuary in Ltichev.
After Ukraine, Fr. Stan worked missions in Bulo Bulo, Bolivia through arish Nuestra Senora de Copacabana of the Prelatura de Aiquile for six years. He then served as a confessor at the Sanctuary at Santa Maria delle Carceri in Prato (Tuscany) for a year.
Since then, Fr. Stan was assigned to the Archdiocese of San Antonio and has served at various parishes throughout the archdiocese.
Fr. Stan has written two books, …I am begging for forgiveness…, which is a re-writing of his doctoral thesis, and Mother of Mercy. You can request copies of his books from the parish office.
